Wow, it’s been a couple of weeks of craziness, thus my relative silence in the blogosphere. I’ve been working on some client projects, updating my website, shuttling kids to and from school and a myriad of activities, meeting and planning for our other business, and I keep offering to help people paint (church, friends, family). Needless to say, I’ve been falling farther and farther behind… Getting back on track now, and we’re on to week five of the Interior Design Style Files. This week we’re talking Classic Glam, one of my favorites. Classic glam pulls from traditional and Hollywood Regency decorating styles, combining timeless furniture silhouettes and ultra luxe finishes and materials.

Classic Glam

Classic Glam interior design style is the least colorful of all of the glam styles, sticking with a mostly neutral palette of white, cream, gray, ivory, and black. If color is used, it is more subtle, and usually falls somewhere in the soft pink family. Furniture lines stick to classic silhouettes with a more traditional feel. As with any glam style, use of luxe materials and finishes is abundant, such as mirrored furniture, brass, marble, fur, and velvet.

• Must Have Pieces: acrylic and gold console table, gray velvet tufted sofa, mirrored nightstand
