Last week I posted part I of our Christmas home tour, and I’m back today for part II, focusing on our whimsical colorful glam Christmas kitchen and dining room. I actually didn’t make too many changes in this room for Christmas, just enough to give it an overall festive and cheerful feel. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves!

Ornaments hanging from my crystal chandelier are one of my favorite Christmas touches to add in the dining room! It’s cheap and easy, but makes a big visual impact.
They ornaments also make the view into the living room a bit more exciting. 😉
Another key feature of our colorful glam Christmas kitchen and dining room is the thrifted nativity scene I spray painted gold. For more details on what a huge bargain this statement set was, AND the key missing figure, check out this post!
I also added a few faux flowers from Michael’s for a pop of color inside the hutch. This piece used to have glass shelves and inserts for the doors, but they somehow disappeared in our move five years ago… So I improvised. I do miss the glass inserts because this hutch is a major dust collector, and I’m a horrible housekeeper, so that’s a never ending challenge, but I do love the way it looks!
The colorful table runner was an Anthropologie clearance find. When I saw it on sale over the summer, I couldn’t believe how well it worked with my rug, which you can buy here. It’s like they were made for each other. 🙂 Also, for the record, this rug is extremely soft AND vacuums up well.
I kept our colorful glam Christmas kitchen and dining room centerpiece “simple” this year, with nine little bottle brush trees from Hobby Lobby. In the interest of full disclosure, as cute as they look, they are a total pain with kids because they keep getting knocked over. At least I don’t have to worry about them breaking!
Our table and bench are the Aldridge model from Home Decorators Collection, which has been absorbed by Home Depot and can be purchased here and here. We have the antique grey finish. Eventually I hope to restain it in a slightly warmer color, but for now it works!
Growing up, I remember my mom purchasing poinsettias around this time of year for all of our family, so I picked one up for her for her birthday and grabbed an extra for myself. Arabella had just learned the history of poinsettias in school, and she was so excited to tell Grandma the story behind her new flowers!
In a nutshell, there was once a poor Mexican girl who wanted to give the baby Jesus a present on Christmas Eve, but she had no money. A friend told her that any gift given by someone who loves Jesus would make his heart happy. On the way to worship, the little girl picked a handful of weeds and then laid them at the bottom of the nativity scene when she arrived at church. Suddenly, the bouquet of weeds grew into gorgeous bright red flowers! A true Christmas miracle. 🙂 And one my little first grader will never forget.
Poinsettias come in various colors, including the classic red, but of course when I saw the pink, that was the only option for me! It fits in perfectly with my colorful glam Christmas kitchen and dining room!
Sadly, I am a plant killer, and a week later, I’ve already managed to kill my poinsettia. At least it was pretty while it lasted!
My Loloi kitchen rugs were a Home Goods find a few months back, and I love the depth and color they bring in. My style is definitely a bit eclectic, but I feel like these rugs are so versatile, they’d work in just about any space.
The rugs are secured with this amazing and affordable rug tape, which even held up after a massive freezer leak left a third of the rug soaked.
My little Christmas tree towel was a gift from my mother-in-law last Christmas, and it is so me! Anthropologie, of course.
The black and white cow print World Market stools are no longer available, but some other gorgeous fabric options on the same stool can be purchased here. I particularly love the Charcoal Mali print – it’s got a bit of a leopard feel, and animal print is definitely a neutral in my book!
I have little pops of color along the kitchen counter tops, and most are strategically placed to cover up outlets as well. The white outlet covers against our gray Daltile Rittenhouse subway tile bothers my slightly design OCD heart. 😉 This little print next to the coffee machine is from an expired Rifle Paper Co. calendar from Anthropologie. Old calendars make great art! The mason jars filled with marbles are part of an incentive program we started for the kids when we abandoned allowance. The kids get clear marbles for doing their required chores (making beds, backpack chores, etc…) and colored marbles when we want to positively reinforce character qualities, such as kindness or going above and beyond to help. You’ll notice there are more colored marbles than clear… We haven’t been doing so well on the whole “making the bed” program lately!
The turquoise Keurig is a base model available from Walmart and the Monin syrup is the same Caribou uses.
The abstract art was an Arabella creation, done at age 4. I LOVE it, both the colors and the sentimentality behind displaying my daughter’s art. The monogram ring dish is from Anthropologie, but no longer available. Similar can be found here! The gold planter was a thrift store find.
I found this pink letterboard at Hobby Lobby, and we have a lot of fun changing the words on it. Arabella frequently adds, “I love Mommy,” or “I love Daddy.” Melt my heart…
The calendar here is from Home Goods, the advent calendar card is from Adam’s aunt, and the succulent planter is an Anthropologie clearance find. That candle is my new favorite. It’s an almost perfect Capri Blue Volcano knockoff!
That just about wraps up the tour of our whimsical colorful glam Christmas kitchen and dining room. Throwing in a few more fun shots for your viewing pleasure. 😉

All of the Christmasy touches are so lovely. & the pink poinsettias are stunning. I had that same turquoise Keurig!
Thank you! I like the pop of color the Keurig adds. 💕
