I’m doing something a little different this Monday morning, and instead of posting the usual Splurge/Steal, I’m making an exciting announcement! At least I think it’s exciting… Maybe not quite so much for all of you!

Dum da da dum (that’s a drumroll, in case you weren’t sure)…

Why the Change?

I’m sure it’s seems strange that I’m changing the name of my newborn blog, two months after launching. To be completely honest, I jumped the gun on my blog name and made a mistake. While I took a few months planning the back end and the future content of my blog, I didn’t think about how the name The Splurge/Steal List would limit my options in the long run. I have recently been approached about taking on a few interior projects, and I want a blog name that can also coordinate with an interiors company name. I also want the freedom to expand into other areas of home design if I choose to down the road.

Once I realized my mistake, I did some research, and it seems it’s better to change my blog name sooner rather than later, so I’m going for it!

What Is Changing?

The only things changing around here are name related: web address, blog email address, and my social media names.

What Isn’t Changing?

The content will remain the same. I’ll still be bringing you The Splurge/Steal List every Monday, it just won’t be the name of my blog anymore. Now it will become The Splurge/Steal List by Arie + Co.

If you subscribe to my posts via email, you don’t have to do a thing. If you follow me through social media, all of my accounts will stay the same (just the name will change), so you don’t have to do anything there either.

When Is This Change?

I plan to implement this change later this week. My social media accounts will be changing first (and may have already changed by the time you read this), as that is super simple to do. The blog switch will take place as soon as I can feasibly make it happen without losing data.

Finally, and most importantly, I want to thank you for reading my blog, and also for sticking with me during this change. I appreciate you all so much!
