Apparently this year, I’m going for the record titled “Latest Blogger Christmas Home Tour.” I’m pretty sure less than five days before Christmas has got it in the bag, as most are posted late November or early December. I honestly debated about even doing one this year… I feel a bit behind on everything after the move, but the house was feeling so cozy, and it seemed so tragic to not document it, at least a little. Although only a few spaces are actually decorated, making “home tour” sound a bit ambitious, so we’re calling this post Eclectic Glam Christmas Decor. Also, check out last year’s tour here.

Starting in the foyer, we’ve got this amazing vintage mirror I found on FB Marketplace for $40. Obsessed. I seriously cannot believe someone wanted to get rid of this. One man’s trash, right?!
The tree is from Target, and the ornaments are Hobby Lobby cheapies. I purchased the cute garland from Pier 1 last year.
Moving through the foyer, I repurposed this art you might remember from our old master bedroom. The files were purchased on Etsy, printed at Costco, and the frames are from Joann, Etc. I don’t think they’ll stay here permanently, but they were a good temporary solution for blank walls.
My rug came from the old house and can be purchased here. The bench seat is solid marble and pictures don’t do it justice! To be honest, I was completely stuck as to how to decorate this space until I found the bench. I really wanted an area for guests to sit and put shoes on, but with the double doors, there wasn’t much space up against the walls on either side. I really didn’t want to fill the larger space to the right of the pocket door with a chair and leave the area on either side of the front doors empty, even though that seemed like the logical conclusion, because I felt like the foyer would seem bare. I hunted online for a narrow bench, but couldn’t find anything with the right dimensions. Imagine my delight when I stumbled across this metal and marble one at Home Goods on clearance for only $69! I went home that night and measured, thinking there was no way the dimensions would work, but they ended up perfect! I went back the next day to buy the bench, and I may have hurt my back a bit trying to bring it through our front door by myself. That marble is super heavy! Absolutely worth it though.
The antique table above has been passed down in my family since the late 1800’s. I admired it in my grandma’s house growing up, and after she went to heaven a few years ago, I was ecstatic when the family let me have it. I love having this little reminder of her, and the table itself is pretty gorgeous too. The larger piece of art is actually a framed piece of fabric I bought years ago. I bought the frame for $4.99 at Goodwill last year, but similar can be purchased here. I created the “peace on earth” art in Photoshop, and both the Santa and crystal tray are both thrifted. Santa was given a makeover with my favorite gold Rustoleum spray paint.
Most of my Christmas decorating efforts were spent in the living room. I was SO excited to have a wider mantle (without a TV over it!) to decorate this year.
Because we moved recently, meaning extra expenses–both expected and unexpected, I wanted to reuse the eclectic glam Christmas decor we already had instead of buying new. The only Christmas decorating purchases I made were for two of the little flocked trees from Target, which I bought on sale, of course. One was a floor model I got for 60% off! The trees were intended for our front porch, but it turns out with the way our house sits, our front porch is basically a wind tunnel, and when I came home one day to find one of our wicker chairs halfway down our front yard, I decided not to risk the trees doing the same until I can figure out a way to anchor them/weigh them down.
We had carpet in our past living room, necessitating a rug purchase for this space. In the past, I’ve gravitated to colorful rugs, but I wanted something a bit more subtle and sophisticated for our eclectic glam living room, and I kept coming back to different animal prints. When I saw this beauty from Ballard Designs, it was love at first sight.
Our stockings are from Anthropologie (the fur one is still available) and the coffee table is a vintage brass FB Marketplace find. I cannot even tell you how much I love FB Marketplace! Adam will attest to that fact, as I’ve sent him all over the metro area to pick up various finds. He’s not as much of a fan. 😉
The pink velvet chairs (FB Marketplace!) were in two separate rooms at our old house. I love that they are reunited here, although I think they’ll end up in my office long term.
I’d love a flocked tree, but don’t want to spend the money right now, so I’ve made due this year and last by adding batting to the branches. I think we went a bit light this year, as I like how it turned out last year better, but I do love the more uniform black and gold ribbon this year (from Hobby Lobby)!
The ornaments are a hodge podge I’ve collected over the years, mostly cheap shatterproof ones, mixed in with a few higher end glass ones.
I think the mix of high and low came together well, and it definitely achieves the eclectic glam Christmas decor aesthetic I was aiming for.
The coffee table styling is pretty simple, letting the rug and the many eclectic glam Christmas decor pieces stand out. The three little gold trees were thrifted and spray painted, the black and white jar is from Target, and the candle is my favorite Capri Blue Volcano from Anthropologie.
The stack of presents under the tree looked pretty sad a few days ago when I photographed the room, but I assure you that the situation has filled out since then.
I’m planning a gallery wall behind the sofa, but for now I hung some simple string lights with command hooks and have been securing the Christmas cards we receive to them with clothes pins. It looks like people still need our new address, because there weren’t too many cards this year!
I forgot to get a wide angle shot of where these gold shelves sit, but they are just to the left of the large living room windows, in between the window and the dining room. All of the items here are super budget friendly finds, including art I created, bottlebrush trees from Target, Home Goods accessories, Ikea vases, a Hobby Lobby mini tree, and my thrifted and spray painted nativity set and turtle doves.
Read about the missing nativity figure and my solution for that here.
I hardly decorated my kitchen at all. OK, I really didn’t. I just displayed this one little gold wreath. It’s a little festive, but I’ll definitely do a bit more next year!
At one point, my kids’ gingerbread houses were also on this side of the kitchen, but Arabella’s completely fell apart (roof and walls collapsed!), so we finally threw them away.
That basically sums up what I did for eclectic glam Christmas decor this year, so I’ll just leave you with some final photos. I hope you have a fabulous Christmas and holiday season with your family. I’ll be chatting with you again in the New Year. Fill me in on your plans in the comments below!
I forgot to mention that the capiz chandelier was from Wayfair, but has been discontinued now. Similar can be found here.
The kitchen pendants are also from Wayfair, but the color was goofy and I had to spray paint them, so I wouldn’t recommend. Similar beauties can be found here, here, and here.
Thanks for stopping by! Don’t forget to let me know your holiday plans in the comments below!
Also, I’d like to give a big shout out to the Precision Homes team that made our house happen. Thanks so much to everyone who helped build our new home. Sometimes I walk around and can hardly believe it’s mine!
