As most of you know, I participated in my first One Room Challenge this fall, and just completed my bedroom makeover a couple of weeks ago. Check out the full beachy glam reveal here. Another 200+ interiors bloggers participated, and I posted some of my favorite reveals last week after going through about half of them. I still haven’t made it all the way through, but I had to post another roundup of my favorites, because I seriously can’t get over how much gorgeousness (this is actually a word… feel free to google it) this one event produced!
I found Ashley of Sugar & Cloth through the One Room Challenge page, and oh my goodness, I’m so glad I did. Her bright and colorful style has me feeling so inspired! I seriously can’t stop looking at her blog and Instagram feed. Ashley is a total champ, as she not only completed a fabulous makeover of two separate spaces – her bedroom and bathroom, but she also did it while being extremely pregnant!
Go check out her blog to see more photos of this gorgeous reveal! Sidenote: I just ordered the same NuLoom rug for my dining room to replace the one I destroyed in my One Room Challenge rug painting fail. It’s supposed to arrive today and I can’t wait!
Iris of Iris Nacole also tackled her master bedroom, and I love the timeless yet beachy feel she captured. I’m pretty sure this room would look just as fabulous in ten or twenty years as it does now! And it further fuels my lifelong dream of living near the ocean, as it feels like the beach must be steps outside the door of this stunning room…
If you’ve hung around here for a while, you know that I’m a fan of dark walls. I have one in my office, and another in my bedroom. Nothing gives pops of color such huge impact as a dark wall! Ursula of Home Made by Carmona embraced the dark wall in her guest house dining room make over, but kept a lot of glam elements in the space to keep it from feeling too broody. First of all, how cool is it that they have a guest house?! Second, look how gorgeous the dining room turned out!
I’ve been following Aniko from Place of My Taste for quite a while, and I’m a huge fan of pretty much everything she does. Her fireplace makeover was one of my main inspirations for painting my own fireplace white. The gorgeous two toned modern kitchen makeover she just completed for the One Room Challenge has me completely swooning… The dark base cabinets, the perfectly styled open shelving, and those black and white tiles. I couldn’t love it more!
Another kitchen that really caught my attention is this beautiful colorful kitchen by Leslie of The Leslie Style. I first came across her pink sink on Instagram, and once I’d seen that, of course I had to see more! I love how Leslie described the feeling she wanted her kitchen to convey… “Like a really great fitting pair of worn in khakis.” Talk about descriptive! So much intentionality went into every detail in order to convey that feeling… Even the outlet covers in this kitchen are gorgeous. Go check it out for yourself!
The Vintage Boudoir. Are you intrigued? Just the name of the space Michelle Gage designed for the One Room Challenge sounds fabulous. And trust me when I tell you that the bedroom itself is equally so. I love the bed and night stands she chose, and the wallpaper is the perfect backdrop for everything else happening in the room.
I love a gorgeous black and white bathroom with gold accents, and that’s exactly what Courtney from 12th and White delivered with her One Room Challenge powder room makeover. The wallpaper she chose is spot on, the beaded chandelier adds so much visual interest, and I’m pretty sure I have a bit of drool on my chin due to that gold and acrylic mirror. Talk about powder room inspiration!
Ariel from PMQ for Two has a fun eclectic decorating style, and she certainly isn’t afraid of color. As a fellow color lover, I find her decorating fearlessness so refreshing. Her dining room is no exception, and while the color is exuberant, it is so well done, and the mid century modern furniture pieces ground the space and give it depth and maturity. Ariel really is a master of the colorful eclectic decorating style!
Moving on to the kid friendly décor department, there were a couple of reveals that really stood out to me. Annie from All Things Big and Small Blog gave her kids the most beautiful navy and coral playroom. The color scheme is fun for kids, but sophisticated enough that they won’t quickly outgrow it. I especially love how her photos of the room feature pillows on the floor, because isn’t that the truth?! All you mamas out there know what I’m talking about… And that bulletin board with the kids’ artwork = perfection! This really is a room for the kids, but is still absolutely gorgeous for the adults.
Rachel from Pencil Shavings Studio not only completed a fantastic bedroom and attached hangout room for her tween son, but she also entirely redid the adjoining upstairs living room. Yes, you read that right. She did three spaces! I had a hard enough time completing one room, so the ability to tackle three rooms and knock them all out of the park is slightly mind blowing to me. #decoratinggoals #interiordesignsuperhero Need I go on? Check out her multiple reveal posts, and prepare to be amazed.
So which are your favorites? I would love to hear what you think!
